Alex Morgan is all set to start her era in EA FC 26

In a recent turn of events, Alex Morgan, the Baby Horse of the United States Women’s National Soccer team, is all set to start her new era in EA FC 26.

It’s been only a year since Morgan hung up her boots due to her expectancy of a second child. She has quite a glittering career featuring two Women’s World Cup titles and one Olympic Gold Medal.

However, a recent X post from EA Sports has suggested her magnificent return as an Icon player.

It all began in 2008, when Alex Morgan started her senior career as a promising player. In 2011, she became the youngest player of the USA National Women’s team in the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Later, she left her mark as one of the most iconic players in the USA Women’s team history with 123 goals in over 224 appearances.

Well, not only on the US soil, Morgan’s influence spread across the European scene, with her winning the UEFA Champions League with Lyon, and a memorable time with Tottenham Hotspur, the English side.

It’s been only a couple of months since the Baby Horse retired from soccer, and already received an End of an Era 90-rated SBC card featuring a few exciting stats across the board.

It was expected to be the last card for her in the EA FC franchise until EA decides to add her special card in a later iteration. However, a recent X post confirmed that Morgan will live up to her legacy, and as a testament to it, she’ll receive an Icon player card in EA FC 26, scheduled to release in September 2025.

The EA franchise finally listened to the community. The Baby Horse is back in the game with her iconic tea-sipping celebration. Yes, you’ve heard it right, EA did add the celebration to honor her career. Interestingly enough, the announcement featured the woman of the hour herself, as she was seen saying “I’m back” before sipping a cup of tea in a USWNT shirt.

EA Sports has yet to reveal the official attributes of the card. However, before that, the news is enough to keep us hype for the upcoming iteration of the football-sim title.
